The reason I always lost interest before has always been the UI of the blogging site. All I wanted was markdown rendering, without a ton of bells and whistles. I didn't want an entire site, and I certainly didn't want to design one. I just wanted a simple, online blog. I don't know if there was any better way to do this, but *my* solution was to create the post on a Wordpress site, and import it into Medium. Because of the complicated interface of Wordpress, I've basically abandoned it. Writing is a pleasure for me, but this made it a chore. So being able to simply upload a .md file is a real breath of fresh air. The subject matter of this blog is probably going to be all over the place, but I think it will mostly be about fitness and running. I'm just coming off an injury, and am just starting to put on some kilometres again in my runs. I will probably go back into some of my journal entries and post some of those, as they do deal with my injury, and recovery, which has been ongoing for the last 6 months. Aside from this, you can also expect some random posts about Linux and open source software, privacy (online and off), music, comics, and possibly even a little bit of popular literature.
